Clearpath Newcastle: Digital Civics Literacy

This was a transformative study abroad experience in the UK, where I delved deeply into UI/UX research and design. Over the almost three weeks, I had the opportunity to work with researchers at Northumbria University in Newcastle on ideas for how their research could be implemented into a real-world application. We developed signage, kiosks, and an app called Clearpath, which utilizes their lidar mapping of the area to enhance mobility throughout the city!

This project helped me gain real-world experience, develop my intercultural competence, and understand how, by working with others, design can help us solve real-world problems.
